How God Shows Up and How He Shows Out

Hello, friends! As Craig and I have been praying over our Shepherd Network community this week, my heart has been overflowing with gratitude for how faithful our Heavenly Father is. We often talk about faith in big, grand terms, but life happens in real time—in our living rooms, during unexpected trials, and in moments when we wonder how we are going to make it through.

Over the years, I have witnessed firsthand that our God is a God who shows up, and He is a God who shows out! How does He show up? He shows up in His steady, constant presence. When tears fall in the quiet of the night, He draws near as our Comforter. When anxiety threatens to overwhelm us, His quiet whisper calms our spirit. He shows up through everyday provisions, answered prayers, and the gentle reminder that we are never walking alone.

And then, right when the enemy thinks he has the upper hand, our God shows out! He reveals His miraculous power, demonstrates His glory, and makes a way where there was no way. He heals the brokenhearted, silences the accuser, and turns battles into breathtaking victories.

Moses told the people in Exodus 14:13, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today.” You don’t have to carry the weight of the fight on your own shoulders. Rest in His faithful presence today knowing that He is right beside you—and get ready to watch Him show out with His delivering power in your life!

With Love,

Tammy ♥

Surrendering to the King: Holy Awe, Healing Wings, and the Power to Forgive

A Work of Divine Renewal

There is a profound, life-altering intersection where the awe-inspiring majesty of God meets the tender embrace of His redeeming grace. When the prophet Isaiah declared, “For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us” (Isaiah 33:22), he anchored our faith in divine sovereignty. Our God is not a passive bystander. He is the ultimate authority over all creation, the One who sets the boundaries of eternity, yet He rules with a heart passionate to rescue His children. When we genuinely realize who sits upon the throne, a sacred reverence awakens in our spirit. This holy fear is never a cowering dread or terror; it is a posture of absolute wonder, deep humility, and loving surrender to the King of Glory. It is precisely to those who walk in this reverent awe that Heaven unlocks its most wondrous treasures. In Malachi 4:2, the Lord declares: “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.” What an incredible promise! When we revere His holy name, the Lord does not crush us under His sovereignty—He shines upon us. The Holy Spirit breathes vitality and supernatural deliverance into our weary bones. His wings carry divine healing for our spirit, soul, and physical body. God’s ultimate desire is to break every chain of oppression and see His sons and daughters released into authentic, leaping joy. Yet Scripture reminds us that spiritual freedom and victorious living cannot thrive in a heart cluttered with resentment. Here lies the testing ground of our faith: the circumstance of holding onto unforgiveness. Jesus leaves no ambiguity when He warns in Matthew 6:14-15: “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive your sins. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Why does Jesus speak with such uncompromising clarity? Because when we harbor bitterness, nurse grievances, or demand retaliation, we step into the courtroom and attempt to usurp God’s position as supreme Judge and King. Unforgiveness is a spiritual roadblock that stifles the flow of God’s power in our lives. It binds us to past pain, dampens our spiritual authority, and shuts out the very mercy we desperately need. You cannot walk in the unclouded light of God’s love while clutching stones of accusation against your brother or sister. True fear of the Lord recognizes that if our Holy King has blotted out our immense mountain of guilt, we have no right to withhold mercy from someone else over a molehill of offense. Reverence for God demands obedience, and obedience looks like opening our clenched fists. Forgiveness is rarely effortless, but praise God, you do not have to muster it in your own human strength! The Holy Spirit empowers us to release the hurt. When you make the deliberate, obedient choice to let go of bitterness, the Sun of Righteousness bursts through your darkest clouds. The chains snap, divine healing washes over your wounded memories, and supernatural peace floods your soul. Step out of the confinement of past offenses today. Stand in reverent awe of your King, receive His fathomless love, and extend His radical grace to others. That is the threshold of true freedom, where joy overflows and victory is won!

Victory in Jesus

Words: Eugene M. Bartlett

Tune: HARTFORD (Eugene M. Bartlett)

Scripture Connection: Corinthians 15:57

I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory, How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me; I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning, Then I repented of my sins and won the victory. / Chorus: O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood; He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him; He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood. / I heard about His healing, of His cleansing pow'r revealing, How He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see; And then I cried, 'Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit,' And somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victory. / I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory, And I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea; About the angels singing, and the old redemption story, And some sweet day I'll sing up there the song of victory.
