Healing Is Still God's Will!

Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.

Reflection
Hallelujah! What a powerful promise from the Word of God! Many people wonder if God still heals today. Beloved, James 5:14-15 shouts a resounding 'YES!' from the pages of Scripture! This isn't a suggestion; it's a command and a promise. When sickness strikes, God's plan is for us to call on the church elders, those Spirit-filled leaders, to pray the prayer of faith. This isn't some ancient ritual that has lost its power; it's a living, active truth for us today. The anointing with oil, done in the Name of the Lord Jesus, is a symbol of the Holy Spirit's presence and power. And what happens next? The 'prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up!' This is not just about feeling a little better; it's about divine restoration and being raised up by the mighty hand of God! This Scripture clearly shows us that healing is God's heart for His children. He desires your wholeness, your health, and your freedom from every sickness and disease. Let this truth ignite a fire of expectant faith within you!
Practical Application
Are you or someone you know battling sickness today? Don't just sit in despair! This passage is a direct invitation for you to step into God's provision for healing. First, examine your heart. If there are unconfessed sins, confess them to the Lord, for He is faithful to forgive. Then, reach out to the Spirit-filled elders or leaders in your church. Don't be shy or think you're bothering them. They are called to minister to you! Ask them to pray over you, anointing you with oil, just as the Bible commands. As they pray, activate your faith! Believe with all your heart that the Lord will raise you up. Don't just hope; expect! God's Word is true, and His promises are 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ Jesus. Stand on this Scripture and declare your healing in Jesus' mighty Name!

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word which is truth and life! We thank You, Jesus, for bearing our sicknesses and diseases on the cross. Holy Spirit, we ask You to ignite a fresh fire of faith within us for divine healing. We declare that healing is Your will today, just as it was in Bible times. We pray for all who are sick, that they would call upon the elders, and that the prayer of faith would restore them. Raise them up, Lord, in Jesus' mighty Name! We receive Your healing power now. Amen!
